Participation Requirements
Participant must have business-level English skills
Participant must be a company representative, or someone authorized by the representative
Participant's company must have the capacity to commit to follow-up if contracts or partnerships are achieved as a result of participation
Participant's company must be founded within 10 years
Participant's company must have business activities or planning to have business activities in Tokyo
Participant's company have a product or a service and must have sales or other track record in Japan
Support Provided
Weekly 1:1 coaching – Each startup is assigned a dedicated Anywhere Ventures partner for weekly updates and hands-on sales coaching throughout the remote phase
Expert advisors – One to two external subject matter experts recruited per startup to support go-to-market strategy and customer outreach
Access to Notion & Slack workspace – Collaborative platform access from day one for program resources, communication, and coordination
Go-to-market (GTM) strategy development – Tailored business development planning including pitch narrative, cultural fluency coaching, and U.S. sales strategy
In-person meeting support – AV Partners and experts join 1:1 meetings with potential U.S. customers and partners during the NYC on-site phase
Meeting space in NYC – Access to Newlab and Civic Hall for on-site meetings and events
Expectations
Attend the full on-site phase (First week of Dec TBC) in principle (if some dates are difficult, please consult us in advance). You may arrive early or leave late, if you wish.
Cover travel and accommodation expenses (CIC can provide subsidies up to JPY 250,000)
Participate in pre-mission orientations and sessions (10-15 hours total across 5 weeks)
Follow CIC’s instructions as the program's organizing committee (e.g., surveys before/after the program)
